Marvelene Ekott is an extraordinary pharmacist and public speaker who obtained her degree from the University of Uyo, Nigeria.

She has a keen interest in public health, advocacy, research, awareness and policy reforms to improve the outcome of health in low and middle income climes like Nigeria.

Marvelene Ekott is the author of “And Pharmacy School Happened”, which she wrote during the Covid-19 pandemic. The book has the secret to how she acquired 80 certifications, including a diploma in Addiction medicine from the University of British Columbia, 4 scholarships, 15 awards, 10 offices, 7 publications, laurels in intra- and interschool debates, 3 businesses, and an organization, – all of these achievements while in pharmacy school. “And Pharmacy School Happened” is a must-read and you can get in on Amazon or Selar.

Marvelene Ekott is a Fellow of the YALI-RLC West Africa, Ghana, cohort 15, an Alumnus of the African Leadership Institute, the current Assistant State Coordinator for YALI Network, Akwa Ibom State, PRO and Editor-In-Chief of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria-Young Pharmacists Group, Akwa Ibom State, a volunteer for over 50 organizations, and a member of several international and local organizations where she’s either currently leading initiatives, partnering with, or rendering professional services.
