LIFE SCIENCE NIGERIA SPOTLIGHT ON ALAGBO OYEBANJI.

Alagbo Oyebanji Olubunmi is a plant protection expert. He is a graduate of Plant Science from the Department of Crop Production and Protection at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Nigeria, in 2012, with a Second Class (Upper Division). He further pursued a Master’s degree in Weed Science from the same university and is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Weed Science at the Institute of Phytomedicine, University of Hohenheim, Stuttgart, Germany.

He joined the Department of Crop Production and Protection of the Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife as a Graduate Assistant in 2016 and is currently an Assistant Lecturer. He has since been involved in teaching, student supervision and conducting field and laboratory research on Agronomy and Weed Science related courses at the University.

He is a member of the Weed Science Society of Nigeria (WSSN), European Weed Research Society (EWRS), and International Society of Precision Agriculture (ISPA). He has authored six articles and actively collaborates with other researchers.

According to Alagbo Oyebanji, he has the obligation to teach and conduct field and laboratory research, with a particular interest in weed biology and the management of invasive weeds.
